If i dont reach fg can i repitch to go lower? Did a double ipa and mash at 150 but beersmith is telling me i will yield at 1.017 i hope he's wrong but if he's true can i repitch? Id like to get a dryer beer

beersmith is often/always wrong about FG. You are likely to finish much lower (depending on your grainbill) - if you mostly used pale malt with healthy yeast, should be 1.010-1.014 or so.

Repitching will help only if your original yeast is not healthy for some reason or cannot attenuate well, if you used something like WLP-001 or WLP-090, it will probably attenuate as much as (if not better than) most yeasts.

I hope so. I used burlington ale from white lab wlp095. Its from a harvest i did a 2 months ago maybe. I was supposed to use omega dipa but noticed after ive done my starter i screw up.

I don't care to comment about the logic of re pitching . . . If your open to suggestions..
- Try to ferment on the lower end of the yeast temp range your using (i.e wlp001 at 68*F)
- 150*F is a good mash temp imo for IPAs I ferm. at 149-150 on em.
- Make a nice healthy starter , my house yeast for everything hoppy is WLP001. Finish is dry and attenuation is thru the roof.
