Curious if anyone has ideas for a substitute for rice hulls...just got back the store, lol
just in case i have to make beer out of rice-roni, or some crap like that...i've made 100% long grain white rice beer, but it takes a ton of rice hulls to sparge it....
i used to buy them from the garden shop, but they don't carry bales around these parts....i've tried straw but it didn't work.....or it didn't taste good, forget which, been a while.....
suggestions appreciated....(and no i'm not going to spend over $1 a pound from the homebrew sites, not when a 50lb bale used to cost $8 at the garden shop)
edit: i guess there's always hawwian punch.....but that's low even for me!.
