This week my two new Perlick 525 taps arrived. Shortly ago I installed them onto my Irish Coffin Box. It is early Saturday morning so no, I have not yet tried them but they sure look nice! I'll put them to the test tonight and draw a pint each of wheat and Munich dark.

So now my 'problem' is that I have a couple of standard taps sitting around begging for a project of some type. What was your 'next' project after your kegerator?

A 2 tap system on the pool deck for party.
With the kegs in buckets of ice cube.

In fact I'm looking for 2 tap just for that project, are they for sale ?

jockeybox for me, great use for cheap chrome taps as they are just for use a day or two at a time and then cleaned. So no worries about them getting sticking from a few days of non use

I repurposed my old chrome faucet as well, still on the tower though.

I ran a line and drilled a third hole in my tower, then I mixed up a corny full of Long Island iced tea minus the splash of coke, I give it just enough pressure to serve it without carbing it noticably.

The fact that it is refrigerated and purged of oxygen keep the sour mix from going south (this keg lasts a loooong time, unless there is a party:D)

Grab a glass of ice, pour a Long Island, add a splash of Coke and a lemon wedge.

Build a wheeled trash can serving device (I don't remember what the guys that built it called it) you can find many variations here on HBT.

How much does it cost to fill a corny keg with Long Island, it is mostly liquor after all. I love the idea but it would be entirely too easy to get blind drunk.

It can cost a good bit of money, especially if you go top shelf. I wait for a big sale at total wine, then go shop, sometimes with a couple coupons from their mailers.

I buy 2L each of vodka, gin, tequila, triple sec, and rum, 6 liters of sweet and sour mix, dump into corny, purge oxygen and give it a shake.

I saved my extras and made a portable set up for parties and such.

This.
