Hi All

I'm building an electric brewing system (240v 4500a heaters). I have already bought some cheap PID and temp probes off Amazon. While negotiating for a vintage bicycle frame this weekend I told the guy I was spending too much on brewing equipment to give him his asking price ... he said "I've got a box of parts over here" a friend left him ... I saw "Auber" on one box and immediately offered him the 6 remaining dollars in my wallet which he accepted .... :)

Attached are pics of the parts and part numbers. Any Idea what this kit was originally for? I assume the PID would be useful but the temp probe has no part numbers stamped. Only documentation was a fragment of what look like the original packing slip.

Any help identifying useful parts would be appreciated.

Yea, pretty good deal on a vintage cruiser frame and springer fork too ...;)

The PID I know I can use … not too familiar with all the Auber part numbers but I’ll study

The temp probe possibly? ... just don't know much about them.

The SSR I need 40a so it’s in the junk drawer as is the 110 power receptacles and switch

But the temp probe … I assume it was matched with the PID and I could reuse for an HLT?

It can be used with that PID, yes, and could be used for an HLT, depending on how you plan on setting it up.

The probe itself is too long to be used in a T fitting like in Kal's setup, but you could use it to measure directly. It just might not be as accurate.
