A few weeks ago I ordered ingredients on line and had a vile of WL liquid yeast. I was out of town when the package came so I asked SWMBO to open the package, take the vial of yeast out and put it in the fridge. I got home checked the fridg and found that to bottle of Iodophor was in the frig and the yeast was on my table in the basement. Luckily, the basement was around 64^F. Needless to say, I swapped the two and went about my business and not saying a word.

Having said all of that, I am curious how many of you order your liquid yeast ice packed? I never thought much about it until my latest episode, but it would seem like good insurance especially in the summer months. More Beer charges $.75, which is nothing compared to the hassle if your yeast takes a dump on you.

Save your 75 cents. The ice pack will warm up to ambient temperature likely long before it arrives at your doorstep.
