First off, I'm still a Beginner. I brew with extracts and a pound, or two, of grains. And I need something about 6% to 7% ABV.

This brew is gonna be called "I'm going to see Def Leppard in August! Oh, did I mention they're opening for KISS?!"

I need a good recipe that's gonna have my cousin and I ready to rock-n-roll all night!!!

Is kiss still alive?

Def Leppard for that matter - I saw them live when I was in 8th grade - I am 45 years old now.

Maybe a "historical" brew of some sort:)

What kind of beer are you looking for? What do you like? 6-7% is pretty broad.....

This five gallon batch ought to get you an OG in the 60s for a ~6% ABV.
One of my all-extract faves, don't bother if you're not seriously into a gobsmack of bright piney citrusy tropical-y hops...

4 pounds pale LME
3 pounds light DME
1 pound corn sugar
1 ounce Chinook
1 ounce Cascade
1 ounce Centennial
1 ounce Amarillo
1 ounce Citra
1 packet US-05
1/4 tsp irish moss
1/2 tbsp yeast nutes

45 minute boil:
DME, sugar & Chinook @ T0
Cascade @ T20
Centennial, moss & nutes @30
Amarillo & LME @ T40
Chill dat beyotch quick to 66°F
Hydrate the US-05 in 85°F boiled/cooled water for 20 minutes then pitch
Run the yeast at 66°F for five days then bring up to 68°F for a couple of days. FG should be in the low teens, dry hop with the Citra for 4-5 days at "room temperature", cold crash for a couple/few days then package...

Cheers!

I'm 48, and the last time I saw both those bands I was like 19, and the drummer still had both arms. :rockin:

Dang I'm old.

You can always get a good solid kit from NB. Dead Ringer is a tasty IPA, but you'll want to wait until late June to brew so the hops shine. Def Leppard/KISS? Must be the Viagra Tour!!! :rockin:
