I need a great beer recipe

I need a great beer recipe that can be done in 7 weeks.... Like a really great beer. Ps I don't have the equipment to do a pilsner.

Mango with red snapper maybe, but crappie and bluegill need a bit of citrus.

I meant crappy, as in slang for lousy. Not fish beer. These damn public schools around here. They had me thinking Italy was a city in France.


I've got a kayak trip in the middle of August and I was looking for a good recipe that turns out good in a shorter time.

Seriously, though. There are tons of great recipes listed on this site. I hate to be Captain Obvious, but we can't really recommend one to you as you've given no earthly idea what you like, want to make, have the equipment for, etc. Besides, what's great to one person is nasty to another. I'm not sure a kayak trip in August is a great lead.

Try centennial blonde. It has a fast turn around and seems to be really popular.

What do you like? Low OG english beers are great for this sort of thing. Between the gravity and super flocculant yeasts, English brews turn around pretty quick.

Oh, and that salsa has plenty of lime. The acid is well covered in this combo. Hackneyed, perhaps, but tasty.

The blonde would be a good kayaking beer. A little bitter, but still light and wonderful.

However, as the guys said above, it really boils down to your tastes, and I'll add, your experience (temp control/discipline, pitch rate, etc).
