Pappy. Man! I love that videography beginning to end - it's profound and perfect. Stacy Kent (I'm guessing she is the girl singing ). Beautiful,,soul inspiring , sexy voice. Perfect choice PP. :). Thanks for posting that one brother.

I'm glad my phone is back to its normal self and playing YouTube videos again. :)

I really like that song LRB. Never heard it before. Cheers my brother !

Hey all. Crazy work lately! I think I have resigned to put off my fall projects until spring, unless we have some decent weekends left that I'm not working. I have to get some firewood and do a few things in the brewshop so I can finish my upgrade this winter. I have never had so many directions to go before. I like it and it stresses the hell out of me at the same time. A few beers at night seems to help;) Cheers friends.

Ischiavo, Your cup runneth over. Drink it all in!!

Cheers and congrats to you my brother!

Gentlemen,

It's a fine evening. Hope all is well on the HBT forum tonight.

So, I've decided I want to make my own labels... and therefore need a "homebrewery" name! I've read multiple posts from a handful of threads, but I like this thread the most and respect all of your opinions. So, how did you come across your brewery/beer names!?

The name has to be personal to you. The brewery is yours, made by you, the beer is brewed by you and you get the right to name it any thing YOU want.

I occasionally still call my 3 grown up kids by their childhood nicknames. Doods, Bean, Meggymoo. Each name came about in different ways and now 20 some years later are still dear

Don't stress coming up with a perfect brewery name. Once you do decide on one make it your own and treat dearly with love, respect, and pride.

If that's makes any sense. :)

Cheers!

Ps. I wasn't going to say but I named my brewery "Lakewood Brewery - 93230". Named after the street my home was on for years and the town's zip code. I've since moved to a different state and sold my brewery.

Replacement gear has been put on hold but when I rebuild and start again my brewery name will be the same. It's mine. :)

Personal letters are "old school"

I miss that because my hand was never as fast as my thoughts and when on occasion it was and I made an error; an eraser fixed that , or white out too.

These days everything is recorded and instantly available.

Suppossed to be helping a friend learn to brew today. We agreed on a start time of 10am. It is now 10:30am here. Guess he wasn't really that interested.

But you are interested in brewing and that has become part of who you are. I could give a few off hand reason's why your friend didn't show up. I can't speak for everybody but my two cents is

Edit. Your friend might have golf ten delayed.
You, are interested in brewing and that has become part of who you are.

Not every one is as infatuated as us home brewers

Tell us some about your brewing. What are you into? That'll help the brainstorming.

Hmm! I love pixar, adventures, motorcycles, camping, outdoors, hiking, skiing, making beer!, family, my job, learning, lots of learning, and a lot more! I'm really interested in making a nice label without any copyright issues! Currently, I call my beer Wreck-it Ralph Brews, but I feel that may be a fine line between copyrights? We used to call it 2nd base brewery before I moved, but I didn't want to keep that as my old roommate coined the phrase!

Time will help and I appreciate your time!

Thanks to both of you for your help! I really like the idea of using a phrase that I over use, maybe my home Street name, or even something family related. I personally love the name Living The Dream Brewery, but that is already taken hehe.

Side note: was drinking some HB while reading the forum last night, and bumped my laptop a little when I got up to get more beer. Sadly, the hard drive wasn't a fan and dropped my OS. I'm not sure if it was the mild buzz or my outlook on life lately, but I didn't get mad. I was kind of happy. Nah I can try to boot Linux, attempt to recover my windows, and not have to waste so much time on my machine.

It's a good day yall. Flying home to see my friends and family. I'm stoked.

Sounds like you definitely have an outdoorsey theme going.

Here are a few things i just came up with off the top of my head. Do a google search to clear your copyright woes, but so long as you dont plan on making it pro i do not see how any company would care much if you happened to have the same name

I kinda really like the sound of "Bruises and Brews"
Backtrail Brewing
You could take your Wreck-it Ralph and call it Rack-it Ralph or do something that involves your name (first or last) with something relevant to your interests.

Yeah I get that. My issue was that he asked me to do this for him and we both even took a day off of work to make it happen. He said he just spaced it and slept all day but it seems if you go so far as to take a day off for something you'd remember what it was. No worries though, just went on without him. Next time though if he wants to try again I'll just let him know when I already plan to brew and he can just show up if he can. I won't be wasting a day off for him again. Even though I still brewed so it wasn't a total waste of a day off.

Woah! I like the way you think. I like all of your recommendations! And yea, I know. Disney won't care about my name usage as I'll never sell my beers, but it's more of a moral thing. I do like rack-it and bruises and brews! Thanks mate!

Taking a day off? That's a huge commitment to homebrew and your friend. Glad you made some beer, but that's a crappy friend... Hope he apologized and makes it up to you!

Kudos on your dedication attempting to pass on seasoned brewing knowledge to your buddy. Sorry he stood you up. If he's a good friend there's probably a valid reason. I wouldn't throw him out like spent grain just yet. You know him better than we do.

No, I'll definitely give him another chance. Crap happens, no biggie. Just not going to use another personal day to make it happen.

I don't remember this subject discussed in this thread before. I accidentally quit golfing about five years ago. Strangely, that seems to be about the time my third son was born...I was about to go pro at the time having scored several sub par rounds and a hole-in-one (110 yards, northwestern sand wedge, no tee, hit, hopped, checked and gently rolled in. Perfect with two witnesses.) I miss golfing. Let's hear some golf stories...

Love the game, terrible at it, best part is going with my boys, who grew up playing and are naturals. I play all the time. I'm surrounded by courses here in FL.

1 week after destroying my brand new car by hitting a deer, swmbo drilled a tee shot into a rabbit's head 100 yards away. The bunny was convulsing up and down and a cat shot out of a nearby bush, grabbed the cat and hauled it away. My wife broke down, "I killed Bambi, and now Thumper". It took all my strength not to mention that she killed Chip 6 months earlier. She never golfed again.

You lucky bastard. My oldest is a natural too. I'm him and his brothers on the course come spring.

You could have just said she got a hole in one. I might have believed that.

I used to play occasionally in Hawaii when I was stationed there. I hated and loved it. Mostly I was just in it for the beers and cigars and of course the once in a while great T-Off.

Lol I wish it didn't happen. I loved that car (despite the fact that it was a Ford Escort Gt.. it was my first new car).

That's kind of all over. maybe something like.. Fried drive brewing. Mud town ales. Street leaning alchemy. Live dream dispensary. Big stick walking brewery?

Kinda leaning towards, not a destination brewery. Some slogan along the lines of... It's not where you are, it's how you got there.
