I just kissed my dog on the lips. Deal with it!
Nice, almost choked on my beer when I read this. even funnier that ten minutes prior my wife did the same thing to one of our cats.
I just kissed my dog on the lips. Deal with it!

It's a smell I no longer desire
I'm hogging this thread. You should probably skip this post, I'm a bit depressing recently.
I guess my brain recently remembered September was the month my pop passed away. It was 12 years ago. Some years the month goes by and I hardly think about it. Other years it's all I can think about. I guess this year is the latter
My dad was a very good man. He was a Chiropractor in a small Midwestern town, central Illinois. He grew up on a farm, he and his older brother became Chiropractors. They went to the original chiropractic college. Palmer, in davenport Iowa. It's where my brother graduated from as well as three cousins. I really should have followed in those footsteps but lacked the discipline for school
Some people look back on their childhood and don't have good memories. I couldn't be more opposite.
I left home at 19, joined the Navy. Once I'd joined I rarely saw my parents. A week or two leave every few years. It was pretty typical of military life. And I wasn't going to be in it forever.
Twelve years ago I was 38 and my dad was 66. I went home on emergency leave after a call from my older brother. He said, " Danny, you need to come home, Dad doesn't have much longer"
I went home. Dad was at the end of his days. He was in hospice at our house. A hospital bed was in the front room. A nurse stayed with him during the day and my brothers and sister took shifts after hours. When I got there I stayed with my dad after the nurse left for the day. My brothers and sis had been doing that.
The nurse gave us a notebook to write down notes about dad. When he ate, when his colostomy bag was changed. Stuff like that.
I ended up turning that notebook into a tribute to my dad. Words flowed and they were certainly stained with teardrops. Part of what I wrote was read aloud by my cousin at Dads funeral. I haven't seen that notebook since. I think my sister has it. I don't really know if I could read it again.
If you've made it through this post I'm sorry to be a downer. You have no reason to feel necessary to reply. I just like to write. It helps me deal with life
The address is the good part of the Chinese homebrew shop. I am good. Very very busy. I'll be in fl next spring!!! We will get together.
Some of you might not be surprised to know, I'm a fan of Sir Conan Doyle's, Sherlock Holmes stories. I've read them all a few times. Watched many old SH movies. In my opinion, Jeremy Brett, portrayed the best Sherlock Homes. He passed away a few years back and I'm not sure why but his tv series seemed to vanish.
I read hound of the baskervilles a long time ago. I remember liking it. Not sure why I didn't read more of

Huh?
Sorry, there was a home depot mash paddle referred to in this thread: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f19/gosh-darnit-i-missed-you-guys-489792/
I just bought the same paddle on amazon is what I was trying to say.
If ever the Sherlock Holmes show played by Jeremy Brett is released again. I'd be pretty happy. That actor was Sherlock Holmes!
If that doesn't happen. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories and your imagination will take you to London. 222 Bakers street. And the journey begins.
