I sure hope I can join you all in Happy Town. This picture, and the resin casting of a gravestone are the only decorations on my living room walls.

Yes, I hope so, lovely picture and the casting is so, um, curious.

I had to disappoint you all but I unset the trap for tonight. Hubby having a really rough day and if we have to head to the hospital, I'd hate to leave Billy Jim Bob trapped and alone. :(

Dang I hope the best for him. Been a bad week for you with you being sick and now the hubby.

This might cheer you up. Only a minute long but I bet it would cure you rodent problem

First time I heard this song I was maybe 12 and we had hiked way back into the sawtooth range. Still gives me chills to hear it

V-man. Our town will be close to mountains. BobbiLynn will make butter. This town, we will keep from growing exponentially. It will be our little town.

So are we talking the Appalachians, the Rockies or the Sierras? Ot maybe the Ozarks?

Off to work a bit early tonight. Snow, rain, sleet and freezing rain all in the forecast. Think I will fire up the trusty rusty old GMC, lock her in 4 wheel and away we go.

I'll leave you with a little Ozark Mountain Daredevils.

Have a good night, everyone.

I think this shows why he was loved by so many - even people who wouldn't normally listen to that style of music. He definitely knew how to relate to the everyday man!

Yup. There's a reason he was so popular, and it surely wasn't because he had a golden voice. :D

This is one that always sends chills up my spine (especially this version which has been on my iPod for years.)

The most beautiful song ever, put to bagpipes. This stops me in my tracks and makes me thankful and humble.

Hope she's feeling better now.

We are going to start a commune near a mountain and for some reason I have to make the butter.

Awesome, my mom can make the soap and I know how to brew beer. Lol

I made a corned beef, egg, and mozzarella sandwich. It's the closest to heaven I ever expect to be.

Hey Airborne! Good to see you my friend. This thread is kind of quite for the moment. I got to get to bed myself. Have a great shift! I'm sure this thing will take off again. I gotta get some sleep. Cheers my brother! :D

I just inhaled a giant order of garlic cheese bread from the restaurant at the Casino. As soon as we were done the radios start blaring. Luckily I have two partners today, cuz the lactose intolerance will hit soon. I'm manning the office now and they're off on the reservation saving lives (prolonging death).

So there were over 300 people packed into a tiny red barn along with 2 horses.

Oh, I was just thinking back on an organic farming seminar I attended years ago. It rained on our parade. Also windy and cold, but we all stayed warm in the barn. At the commune maybe we can all meet in the barn once a week for a town meeting.

What's up guys? Back at work after a nice long weekend, then I'm on vacation (staycation) next week. How's everyone else?

You still at work? How's your day been?

Oops, or should I have said "night been?" We're getting confused around here. Days and nights all mixed up.

Bugger. Broke the snow plow on the 4 wheeler. Now I got a 4 wheeler covered in snow and I get to go out and work on it. SIGH.....I am ready for spring
