Rachel Ray and HATE!!!!

LOL, I like Rachael Ray, I do all of the cooking at home, and I find her very intelligent and logical. She seems to really anger some folks though. Some of her stuff cna be repetative, but her smokin' curves make up for it.

I have a feeling her dad owns a liquor store too...
 
even after she's gained all the weight she has, I'd still do many, many, many dirty things to her.

Here's my $.02 on the subject - If your one of the "I hate her people" you might want to look into yourself a little. Most people really don't hate her, they hate the fact that according to them she has all of these annoying qualities, yet she is still insanely successful and wealthy. Meanwhile they don't have those annoying qualities, are better cooks, etc... but are not world famous millionaires.

If she was a secretary where you worked and had the same annoying sayings would you still hate her? Probably not.

I don't hate anyone for being more successful then me, whether I think they have done more than I to deserve it or not.

Yes, I watch her cooking show on occasion, sometimes she does have some good recipes and she comes off as a good down to earth person, especially when she was on Iron Chef.
 
I am not a racheal ray fan either, but i wouldnt say no to a roll or two with her... but at then again i havent had a roll in quite awhile so thats not saying much... I dont like her voice but i think she would be one hell of a screamer and i wouldnt care in the slightest, espically if i got some scratches out of it... Im so lonely... If anyone has a shotgun and a spare shell if you wouldnt mind putting me out of my misery... you can raid my wallet for the pirce of the shell

bad coffee's post is why I find her absolutely annoying. I will admit 30 Minute Meals isn't a bad show but $40 a Day and Tasty Travels can be torture to watch.

She's the WORST tipper in history. IIRC, Anthony Bourdain ended up going to one of the places that she went to in one of her shows and asked the waitress how poorly she tipped. The waitress wouldn't say, but indicated that it was a bad tip.

I don't really care one way or the other about Rachel Ray. I have a remote for my tv, so I don't even have to move anything but my thumb to change the channel.

I will admit that I hate Giada though. It's not because of anything that she does or says, it's because she looks exactly like my wife's ex-best friend. I hated that *****. Her and her boyfriend got into a fight at our wedding, then her and my pregnant wife got into an argument a few days later, then when they made up, she annoyed me to no end until she screwed my wife over again and she got sent to the land of misfit toys. I'm sure that Giada is nothing like her, but she looks like her, and even sounds like her a little, so I just hate her because it's easier than not hating her.
 
I havn't read this thread, but the title alone sends me into a turmoil of conflict. I mean, I can't stand Marie Osmond.....But I would soooooo screw her. Oh conflicted emotions, why do you treat me so harshly.

I also find it interesting most of the haters know enough about her to make me fairly confident they watch her show regularly. So, Love her or hate her by watching the show you are feeding her success, advertisers don't care if you love her, or love to hate her, as long as you are watching.
I have never actually watched her show the only one I watch on food Network is Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.

I don't know. I like seeing what different places offer for food, and where to find some of the better food, and the eye candy is not bad. I like Giada's Everday Italian too. SOme good recipes on there.

FWIW, I understand RR does enjoy her beer too, so she's not just some stuck up wine person.

She is not such an incredible person that the only possible reason anyone could ever dislike her is jealousy.

If we had a secretary that was ditzy, annoyingly chipper, and mediocre at her job then yes, I would probably dislike her too....especially if everyone at work constantly talked about how great she was.....(unless she was hot ;), which to me rachel ray is DEFINITELY not).

Well, she is on EVERY CHANNEL! And it only takes about 30 seconds of exposure to realize how annoying she is....IMO of course ;-)

I think RR is okay. I like 30 Min. Meals, the other stuff I can take or leave. And her talk show is like any other daytime talk show - boring and unwatchable. But I don't hate her. And yeah, seems I saw RR at a brewpub and she mentioned she favors IPAs.

As for the Food Network, there are better things to watch. Alton is really the only thing to watch anymore. Emeril's day has come and gone - is he even on TV anymore? And Giada? Ugh. Big head perched on top of a little, skinny-ass body overpronunciating every Italian word! If it weren't for what little cleavage she has being put on display in every episode and her famous name, nobody would be watching her show. That dye-job chach that does Diners, Drive-ins, etc. is annoying as hell. Good concept for a show, but I have to suffer if I want to watch it.

You want byuwbees on TV that can gook, give me Nigella Lawson any day!

Rachel Ray makes the world a worse place in that she is trying to dumb down America while making money off of it.... putting her in the same boat as politicans, lawyers, and journalists. I wish that boat would sink.

I like her. Her recipes are easy and I've used more of her ideas than any other cooking show (although I don't watch a lot of cooking shows anyway). I just don't see the point in all the hateful threads or comments about "celebrities" that goes on here or other sites. To me, it comes off as pathetic jealousy. If you don't like her, then change the channel--it can't get any simpler than that.

I would tell her to her face how horrible she is. And it goes beyond changing the channel, she is truly making the workd a worse place. She shows people how to turn a stove on and boil water and tells them they can now cook.
She's the Mr Beer of brewing, except none of the Raytards are graduating to the next level.

Hi everyone,
I like Rachael too. She has inspired me so much to cook. So I decided to go to cooking school.


I would love to see you compete side by side with someone after they spend 2-3 years in culinary school (ps my wife is a certified pastry chef and was 2 credits away from getting her regular chef certification, so I am speaking from experience here)
 
I'm ambivalent about Rachel....Her 30 minute meals are a go way for working people to actually cook something fresh....And although she's no Nigella Lawson....I'd do her...

I'm really surprised that in 12 pages of posts this hasnt been mentioned.

Many people mention they dislike (or hate, really? hate?) Ray because of her voice. But she has acknowledged that she has a cyst on her vocal chords to dispel the rumors of smoking and/or throat cancer. The cyst was getting bigger as of late and was noticeably effecting her voice. She had surgery scheduled in late 2008 to to remove said cyst, but pre-surgery voice therapy was showing enough improvement that they postponed or canceled the surgery.

I have watched her shows and I find her no more annoying that any cooking show host that doesn't keep it fresh and new. I like Emeril and Alton, but even they get annoying by using the same expression, phrases, etc..
