Hi. My son gave me a Mr. Beer for Christmas (don't laugh), and I have just tasted the first swig of what I/we did. I was impressed, if I do say so my own bad self, and want to continue this, and learn to do it the right way. But in the meantime, how does one determine the alcohol content? I see on other posts where it can be estimated based on what you put in, but for the short term while I'm still learning, is there something like a litmus paper or reactive chemical like testing pool water one can use? Any and all suggestions are welcome, I apologize if I sound like a total noob, and I'm going to pour myself another 73rd Virgin Lager, as I call this inaugural batch.
