I'm just getting into mead-making. Never brewed any beer, but judging by how long it takes to get a batch of mead done, I might just have to. I started keeping bees last year and had some honey left over. Mead was really a natural next step :)
Ken Schramm - your book is fantastic. A great mix of "recipe" (here, do this), and piquing someone's interest to try something new. I have two 1-gallon batches going right now with my own honey, and am thinking of starting two more 3-gallon batches with bought honey. I figure I should really practice before making big batches with my own, precious honey next year, right?
Great forum, and lots of friendly people.

Thanks - I noticed that Ken was on here to, which is really cool - not many books where you get "post-sale support".

Welcome fellow mazer! And congrats on being the first person in a LOOOOONG time to use piquing correctly spelled in a sentence.

That is absolutely one of my bigger internet pet peeves and you did very well.

See you in the mead forum..
