Hey, guys, new brewer here 
So far been stumbling along using contradictory advice on the internet, a bit of common sense and some make-do to learn the basics and mess around with some low-alcohol ginger ales. Just today, though, I ordered a hydrometer, a couple of demijohns with temperature readers etc and thought that with an upgrade in equipment, I might as well get my head in the game so that when I start getting a bit more ambitious I've got some advice to fall back on and a couple of suggestions for where to start
