I've been reading some stuff on here for a few days now, not wanting to post any questions and be the new guy who asks without searching! My dad made a batch of home brew a few years ago with a Mr. Beer kit and then didn't do it anymore. He and I have always loved all different kinds of beers, so now that my wife and I have our own place, I figured I'd buy some better equipment and get the ball rolling. I'm definitely looking forward to this new hobby. I'm in Anchorage, AK if anyone on here is in the area.

I am up in the valley in Palmer and have been brewing for about 10 years. Also, there is a good home brew club there in Anchorage if you are interested.
