I have a dual body regulator which I'm pretty sure I got beer into over Memorial Day. It now won't read (or relieve from the valve on the regulator) tank pressure. It will only stabilize to read the actual temperature of the keg. I was hoping I could take it apart to clean and save it. Trying to save myself from buying a bunch of extra parts.

I've searched but I can't figure out how to take this damn thing apart. Unscrewed the adjuster screw all the way and nothing budges. Its the kegconnection brand if that makes a difference. What am I missing? Trying to get this working over the next few days. Any advice on cleaning it?

I took mine apart not too long ago and replaced the diaphragm.

If it has the hex shape on the diaphragm cover like this one just get a big wrench and unscrew it all the way off. They are simple on the inside, so you should be able to clean everything and put it back together for an easy fix. I bought the rebuild kit before i realized it probably just needed cleaned.

Good Luck.

I assume you are talking about the black nut thing on the regulator itself? Mine doesn't budge. I can't get it apart at all! I guess I'm gonna have to get a T and just use the second regulator and to hell with trying to clean it. Any T's known to fit from a big box store?

While I'm at it, will I be able to find the o-ring that fits on the co2 tank nut at home depot or lowes? anyone know what its called so I could find it? Of course I lost this during transit too and now I can't even hook my kegerator at all until I find one. Was going to order tons online but would like a quicker solution.

Needless to say I'm gonna be redoing this and getting some check valves

Yes, that black nut thing on the regulator itself is what you're looking to take off. When I cleaned mine I had to leave the regulator on the tank to do it because I couldn't get enough leverage, and I don't have a vice. As for the o-ring question, your LHBS should have them..If you go to the place where you get your tank filled they should have them too. Its just a washer, I found them at the link below, or just search co2 washer. Hope this helps.http://www.kegkits.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=CO2-27-12&Category_Code=Orings&Store_Code=W

In a pinch you can simply use the brass/brass mating surfaces. I've done this many times without any gasket or leaks. You have to really tighten it well. Be sure to test with soapy water to insure you have no leaks.
