My keg us on 25 psi. The beer is a Mexican cerveza so notuch carbination. When I go to serve and drop to serving psi do I just drop it or disconnect and purge it and reconnect and the go to serving psi
 
yeah drop the pressure to 10-12 lbs and turn it off and then vent the excess and then turn back on a pull your first draft. What I do is set my pressure at 12 lbs and set it and forget it, the beer carbs good in two weeks and I don't have to mess with changing things around good luck
 
This applies if you're using corney kegs, if not then I don't know.

You should turn your psi regulator down or off (the gauge will not drop when you do this because there is still that much pressure in the keg), then purge the keg to your desired psi (the gauge will fall as you purge), then turn your regulator back up until you get a small increase on the gauge. All set.
 
Never turn your regulator down or off when hooked up to a keg unless you are 100% positive you have something inline to stop the back flow. Safety first, disconnect your keg from the regulator. Purge your tank of pressure. Reconnect. Slowly increase pressure. Then for the paranoid like me dust her with the spray bottle one more time to make sure you did not make a new leak or miss a old one.

Good advice, I DO have check-valves on all my lines so I can safely turn my regulator off when hooked up to the keg. I shouldn't have assumed everyone would.

Whats in your spray bottle? Water + a drop of soap?

Like most things in brewing, patience is a virtue. Plus, if you are constantly readjusting your regulators, you can wear them out prematurely.
