My keg us on 25 psi. The beer is a Mexican cerveza so notuch carbination. When I go to serve and drop to serving psi do I just drop it or disconnect and purge it and reconnect and the go to serving psi
Never turn your regulator down or off when hooked up to a keg unless you are 100% positive you have something inline to stop the back flow. Safety first, disconnect your keg from the regulator. Purge your tank of pressure. Reconnect. Slowly increase pressure. Then for the paranoid like me dust her with the spray bottle one more time to make sure you did not make a new leak or miss a old one.

Whats in your spray bottle? Water + a drop of soap?
What I do is set my pressure at 12 lbs and set it and forget it, the beer carbs good in two weeks and I don't have to mess with changing things around good luck
starsan is a good choice
