Thats what I've read about them. And the fact that it can re-seal will save you some bags in the long run, no need to repackage every time you open one! Plus you can store larger amounts.

I've been using the kenmore bags most of the time and haven't had much trouble. A couple I think have been punctured by the hops pellets when they get moved around in transit. Are the foodsaver ones actually stronger, I thought it was just a perception but if they are thatd be good to really know.
 
They FEEL much heavier in thier construction... I played with it and the Seal A Meal bags and Kenmore bags and I can feel a difference. Like I said, I could not keep a vaccuum long in the Kenmore bags, so I placed my Cascades in a FoodSaver and sealed em up.
 
I just used this method to seal up my hops. It worked great! I put my ziplock inside my foil pack from hops direct then ironed the foil bag shut. I think that will be a good barrier.
