Does anybody know, how to brew 500L at home without buying all the fancy and expensive electronic equipment for home breweries?

What kind of equipment would one need to make 500L at home?

Tnx,

Minna

Wow, you like to think big!!!

55 gallon HDPE food grade drums w/ heating elements installed for HLT, MLT, and BK. Same for fermenters, these can be sourced free / cheap.

Source a 200 gallon stainless tank, heat with electric or propane.

You will NEED temperature control during fermentation !!!

Throw yeast on that amount of wort it will generate a lot of heat and soar out of an acceptable range quick!!!

There is no way to brew 500L cheap. You need a way of fermenting it, storing it and serving it. The more you brew the harder it is to store so you will need a walk in cooler and a way of controlling the fermentation on a 200 gallon fermenter. A glycol chiller would be your best bet which would add a lot to the cost.

Try this, it's in german but gives you an idea of how to make 500 liter without owning a brewery:mug:
