what is called home brew units is way simple
say you want to convert 2 ozs of a hops at 4.5 AA we 2 x 4.5 = 9
so we have a hops at 3 AA, 3 x 3 =9 0r 3 0zs of that hops times 3 AA is 9

I used AAUs back in the day. I also used to plug numbers into software. At some point I found this formula to be quicker, and easier for me. Perhaps it is not applicable to everyone. I just thought I would share.
