This may be a stupid question, but im gonna be doing my first 10 gal batch here soon and i was wondering if i need to pitch twice as much yeast as i would for a 5 gal batch?
Thanks

Extremely generally speaking yes it is safest to do that. Are you using liquid or dry yeast?

Go to yeastcalc.com or mrmalty.com and plug in the numbers. Either site will give you your desired pitching rate and steps required to achieve it

yeast calc is gone mrmalty is good for beer/ale but still useful tnx
