Thought I'd treat myself for my B-Day, couldn't find an exact answer through sticky and searches thus I'm asking for help.

I'm fairly certain the answer to how much gas line do I need is, however much it takes to do the job as it won't effect service/foaming either way. Correct?

Being cash strapped as I am, I'm only setting up one keg for now, will add a splitter etc. later.

What I have: 20lb tank & 2 used corney kegs.

What I'm ordering (if I'm right):
1-Dual guage regulator (for one keg)
1-Disconnect set view here:http://stores.kegconnection.com/Detail.bok?no=45
6 ft Red 5/16" ID Gas Hose
? ft 3/16" ID Clear Beer Hose
1-Picnic Tap
1-Keg Gasket replacement set.

Is this all I need and how much beer line do I need to order, I'm guessing 8 feet to give me a little wiggle room. At 3/16" ID I shouldn't need but 5 ft, correct? Guess I could just ask for a link to a site explaining/offering formulas/charts.

Thanks for helping this ignoramus out & Schlante,
Phillip

Ps do I need food grade silicone lubricant or anything of the sort?

I find 10' of beer line at 3/16 leaves the perfect pour for me and I usually have my gauge set at 8-10 psi.

Uhhh... not many folks here keg in Sanke kegs. Most use corney (soda) kegs.
So I'm gonna assume (yea, I know what that means) you meant you have 2 used corney kegs.
Other than some clamps... looks like you are on target. My lines are about 5' long and I've had no problems.

I would recommend you get some "Keg Lube" for o-rings, etc.

Good Luck
Ed

what you talkin bout sanke kegs fo? I said corney! (thanks to the power of edit) :)

yea, don't know what I was thinking. Anyhoo I'll order 10' just incase I need it. Anything else other than Keg Lube?

Schlante,
Phillip

Personally, I prefer the threaded disconnects over the barbed ones. In other words, you end up with a hose with a female threaded insert on one end and picnic tap on one end. Being able to remove the keg connector makes the line easier to flush when cleaning.

In the link you posted, on of the disconnects is barbed, the other threaded... you can get GAS and LIQUID threaded disconnects.

And BTW... the gas and liquid disconnects ARE different.
