Pain meds? They give you pain meds? I got Tylenol. That's why I had a pint. Snipped on a Friday, rest for 2 days then back to work on Monday.

On that point, make sure you don’t take anything that prohibits booze consumption. I declined the pain meds and told my doc my pain management plan was whisky. He said “that’s probably a better plan”.

I had this done many years ago in the dark ages - when the cauterization tool was stored in the firepit on the coals.
I think they've improved things since then. One thing remains unchanged.... don't breathe in during cauterization.

Ibuprofen isn't a good mix either.

Bottom line: Just don't take pain relievers with alcohol or even if you drink regularly. Some aren't as bad as others, but none of them are a great mix.

I think this doctor uses some sort of permanent stitch instead. But I will remember this just in case.

I'm going to try to get by as much as I can with frozen peas. I'm sure there will be a little Tylenol, but I don't plan drinking a ton either. Probably just my usual beer or two.

Well, got everything kegged without lifting anything heavy. Recovery is going pretty good, and I should have some new beers on tap just a little while after I'm able to lift these things.
