Just kegged 5 gallons of my session melomel with strawberries and blueberries. My first attempt with a mead/melomel.
OG - 1.048
FG - 0.995
ABV - 6.96%

Pulled a sample to see what it was like before back sweetening and carbonating. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Have you made the boysenberry before? Did you use bottled juice or fruit? If so, what's the rub on your precious batch?

This was a trial batch with the concentrate from Amoretti. It has a great flavor and doesn't taste artificial like some others I've tried.

The abv is 9% give or take and it's almost finished, maybe 2 more days in primary and I'll rack over and taste.

What I did taste was really good but at .010 it's a little dry but the flavor was still there. I plan to go really dry and use priming tabs in 12oz bottles to make it sparkling and we'll drink them up in Feb sometime.

Maybe the tabs will add some sweetness back to it while carbing. We'll see:)
