I have a pale ale with papaya in secondary right now. The OG was 0.045 and the gravity when I racked was 0.01. There's about 8 lbs. of papaya in the carboy with it. Should I just wait till it clears a little, or should I wait extra time for the fruit flavours?

The Papaya has sugars that will ferment. Give it plenty of time to finish that fermentation (your hydrometer will help you determine when it's done, then give it an extra couple of days). Then you can either rack it to tertiary to fine it or bottle/keg it.
