I scored a former keezer for free off of CL, and am wondering if I killed it in moving it back to my place. It spent a week upright after I picked it up before plugging it in, but it's not getting cold after being plugged in for periods as long as 24 hours.
A somewhat related question - how much does it matter if I plugged it in with an extension cord to test it? In my searching for info on chest freezers breaking, I noticed a number of people stating things like "using a non-appliance extension cord will kill your freezer".
