So I want to brew now in order to get my summer drink on, but I’m new to brewing and didn’t know how long I can keep the beer in a keg, whether under pressure or not. What’s the best way to brew a 5 gal batch now and drink it come summertime?

If the intention is to brew a light refreshing ale for Summer I would wait until you're within 4 weeks or so.
Brewing now and holding such a beer for 3-4 months will take a toll...

Cheers!

A keg is a pretty good package for longish storage. You can surely brew some summertime beers now. I’d recommend priming in the keg rather than force carbing for longer storage.

Ok. In regards to priming, I bought a corny keg with a special lid that force carbonates, so to prime it do I just use the standard inlets that u would normally?

A keg can be a pretty good package for long-ish storage if the beer therein was not subject to significant oxygen exposure along the way.
That is generally not a province for beginners, and light summer ales will highlight oxidation damage.
Just sayin'...

Cheers!
