Ok this is the first recipe that I have ever made from scratch. I want advice of others to see if they think it will be any good. I want a beer that is bitter with some alcohol behind it. Also I have heard that Maris Otter makes some really good beers.

Thanks

OG: 1.062
FG. 1.012
IBU: 76
ABV: 6.65

10 Lb. Maris Otter
2 Lb. Munich 10L

1 oz. Columbus (60)
.5 oz. Centennial (.45)

.5 Centennial (Whirlpool)
.5 Columbus (Whirlpool)
.5 Simcoe (Whirlpool)

1 oz Centennial (Dry Hop)
1 oz Columbus (Dry Hop)
1 oz Simcoe (Dry Hop)

US-05

Look good. 45 min hop additions aren't necessary for an IPA. I would move it to 15 minutes.

Make sure you use high sulfate water. It makes all the difference in the world for perceived hoppiness in an IPA.

How do I raise my waters sulfate? Also how do I determine how much sulfate is in my water?

How much gypsum you need depends on your water. You may need ten grams, you may need two. You probably want to target 250-300ppm of sulfate for a typical IPA

Alright I found my sulfate level is 35 so I can figure out how much to add by myself I believe. Thanks for the help. Does anyone else have any comments on the recipe?

Looks fine as a pale ale, but for an IPA you should double the amounts for whirlpool and dry hop.
