How do you carb a Scotch Ale with beer gas for use with a stout tap.

Is it necessary to first carb my Scotch Ale using straight CO2 and then switch over to Beer/Gas to dispense or I should I just use the Beer/Gas from the start?

Will the B/G provide sufficient carbonation level in the Ale (75%Nitrogen/25%CO2 mix)? If so, how long will it typically take @ 25psi in a 40F enviroment?

Yes, carbonate first with CO2. Otherwise, the N2 fills the head space long before carbonation is complete.
