how do i install this:http://murrietahomebrew.com/catalog/spigots-valves-taps/spigot-primary-bucket

to this:http://murrietahomebrew.com/catalog/fermentors/plastic-buckets/65-gallon-fermenting-bucket

and what is the best spigot to buy on this page?

i used those for my first one but the spigot wouldnt seal airtight so i got hose fittings at home depot and made it way tighter than it needed to be, and for future references i dont want to have to spend 25 bucks on a spigot

My bucket was threaded so I just took the nut off the spigot put a washer on and threaded it in. It looks like those buckets might be the same style

Sheesh those are cheap man. I am thinking of buying a big enough fermentor for 10 gallon batches and I am so going to look at those

You shouldn't have to do anything like than drill a hole for a doughnut l spigot, if so look at other brands of spigots

You just need to drill a hole only big enough for the threaded part to fit through,

Deburr the edges of the hole. Install the spigot with the washer on the outside as tight as you can without deforming the washer, which is not too tight.

You said airtight - it needs to be water tight!

Drill the hole high enough so that the outlet of the spigot does not touch anything when the bucket is on a flat surface.

Better yet buy a bottling bucket that includes the spigot and has the hole already drilled.

If you get the spigots that you linked to, follow kh54s10's advice. I have one of my fermenters that has a similar spigot. The handle part can rise up out of the spigot and start to leak (if you're not paying attention when you're cleaning it... ). Now I know to make sure it's firmly seated before I pour my wort in.

Make sure you don't over tighten it either. I made that mistake once which resulted in the threaded part of the spigot shearing itself off while I had a batch of beer in my bucket... not a fun experience. That pretty much solidified my move to fermenting in carboys or buckets without spigots on them.
