So I bought one of these 5 gallon whiskey barrels from Adventures in Homebrewing, and received it yesterday.

Problem is, there is a bung stuck inside the barrel. I removed the one plugging the hole, but it came with an extra rattling around on the inside. Anybody have any methods to get it out? I don't have a knife or anything long enough to stick in there and break it into pieces. Any creative ideas, or should I just give up and put a beer in there with the bung?

I already found that thread. That's how to get the actual bung out, the one plugging the hole. I have an extra one, all the way inside the barrel. Someone pounded it in too far, and it went clear in.

I'd just leave it in there. It's not worth the trouble to try to remove it.
