Starting doing research through Google on homebrewing. Almost all of the questions I would research had this site somewhere along the way. Figured I would join as I embark on these endeavors. I have a hef nearing the end of fermentation getting ready to bottle. This will be my first brew.

I had come across the website lots of times while researching different topics on brewing and equipment... About a year ago I met the folks in LIBME, a homebrew group in Long Island New York, and found that many of the members often refer to the site and/or app for all the useful info!

Once I stopped having very basic questions, this site had all the answers to my more detailed inquiries. I wanted to be part of a community that has so much good information flowing, and hopefully be able to contribute!

In the middle of fermenting my first batch, a Chinook IPA with A Northern Brewers starter set. Was looking around the internet about dry hopping and a thread from here popped up. This seems like the place I need to be. I have a ton of questions, and I'm starting to think that there are endless possibilities beyond pre-assembled kits. Looking forward to learning.

I'm the kind of person who reads everything they can get their hands on before attempting something new.

I ran into threads from here so many times while "loading" knowledge before my first Brew that I simply had to join.

google search for malting at home...gave me at the top of the list the thread "Happiness is home malting" - HBT

Google searched recipe for Crabbie's ginger beer. I've been homebrewing since 1985 but last year was the first time I made ginger beer and it wasn't very gingery. I tried a bottle of Crabbie's and want to get closer to that taste.

I brew over wood fire and was looking to see who else in the world also does this....

The search lead me to Home Brew Talk

I am getting into mead making and was searching on making a bomm in time for Christmas as my first mead.

Hello,

I've been running across this forum for years while searching answers to my various homebrew equipment questions. I finally found myself needing to ask a specific question so I registered. I, by the way, have been homebrewing much more than half my life - closer to 2/3rds than half...

I actually found you guys while I was searching on making a b o m m through google. I actually stumbled across this forum with a lot of amazing information. I'm quite excited to begin sifting through all the knowledge. I have yet to make my first batch of mead but I have done quite a bit of research, and have no doubt this will probably make my head explode. :) I can't wait!

I found homebrewtalk.com through a Google search for cider recipes. I found a lot of very useful information, advice, and delicous looking recipes and signed up!
