A month into spring and we had light snow, off and on, all day. At least we have 4 seasons in this part of MT-Summer, Almost Winter, Winter, and Still Winter.

We went from snow higher than the mailbox to 80+ degrees for 4 days in a row (including a day at 88), ending with 100% of the snow melted, less than a week later. And of course what did it do after that? Snowed some more. Now it's been like a week of 40 and rain.

Here in the Oregon we have had one day above 60. It might get to 70 later next week. We will see.

Here in Western Washington we also have four seasons; Early Spring (wet), Late Spring (wet and humid), 2-3 days or weeks of hot as ballz Summer (humid) (also depends on El Nino or La Nina, little sh*t kids can't make up their minds), then Fall (warm, wet, and humid). Once in a great while we get the 5th season, also known as 1 week of Deep Winter in Minnesota (I think all the norwegians brought that with them) which completely shuts down everything. Usually arrives in February. Or April. Our ski resorts are still open and it's almost May.

Reminds me of when I was stationed in Maine with the Navy. We used to say the summers were beautiful, if you didn't have the duty that day.

Back in my 'flying' days, the most confusing rules were:

1). No smoking within 50 feet of the flight line
2). No drinking within 24 hours of flight

I say "confusing" because so often the two edicts were reversed by Naval Aviators.
