I am considering ordering a hopshot syringe and possibly a can of hop extract for bittering hop additions (less hop material to deal with). Has anyone ever reused a hopshot syringe? I would think soaking in hot water would help clean the syringe of residue well enough to be used in the future, but I have never used extract and don't know how robust the syringes are.

If you order the can you're going to need more than one syringe, you can't just open the can and take what you need and leave the rest in there. Just order a package of 10 30ml syringes with caps from amazon and fill them after you open the can. Cap them and throw them in a zip lock in the freezer. You'll only need 5 syringes at 30ml each, 10 pack was all I could find.

Also that stuff is just about impossible to get off of anything. Hot water and soap wouldn't do it. I had to use bar keeper's friend to get it out of a pot I was doing a test in. Forget getting it off your hands too, sticky hop smelling hands for a while. That's not that bad I guess.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like I can get 100 10-mL syringes for 26 bucks. That might be best, just keep the extra syringes for the future. Free Amazon Prime shipping.
