If you could only use four hops what would they be. AND why, i'm asking for the soul purpose of being able to buy in bulk and brew many different recipe's while saving a little money, and maybe some grains to buy in bulk as well that can be versatile as well just curious what people come up with.:tank:

If I had to choose 4 I figure something like this gives me the broadest range of beers to brew in styles I enjoy. I pass on brewing most american style beers of late. You could swap out hallertau for cascade or another american hop and get a little more versatility. I might choose mosaic.

Magnum - clean bittering for all styles

East Kent Golding- English / scottish some lagers

Saaz - pilsners lagers Belgians

Hallertau - pilsners lagers Belgians

Yea I hear ya me to what do you think about cascade Citra Chinook and centennial think I could make some different ipa and some apa with those hops

Tettnang for any German beers

EKG for English styles and browns, porters, stouts, etc

Citra and Simcoe for pales, IPA, etc
