hops question

First time brewer here and I already have a question. I am about ready to start my first brew (Liberty Cream Ale) midwest supply kit and as I am reviewing the instructions it says to add the bittering hops then the aroma hops. The only hops I got with my kit are two 1oz bags of "cascade pellet hops". So my question is, is there a difference between the bittering hops and aroma hops? And are the hops with the kit the correct hops the only difference being when and how much are added durring the brew? Thanks

When you add the hops at the start of the boil and let them brew for 60 mins, those add the bittering. When you add the hops towards the end of the boil, those don't contribute much bittering but will add aroma.

Ain't nothing wrong with using the cascade for both

+1 to yoda, probably add 1oz at 60min and 1oz at 5min.

Thanks guys this is what I thought but I didn't want to screw up my first brew. Guess I will bre today!!!!!!!

you could even do a 60min - 1oz addition, a 15min-1/2oz addition and a 5min-1/2oz addition to add both flavor and aroma, although some would argue they are one in the same. Welcome to the limitless possibilities of brewing your own beer.
