Hi All!
Long-time reader here, but first time poster. I have completed four batches (extract with steeping), and all but one were highly pleasant and drinkable. I now feel comfortable making up my own recipes (last one was a great Honey-Weizen i came up with), and I am looking to make a basic pale ale next week.
My question is this: How do I choose hops? I know alpha acid will tell me a lot, and I used the Recipator to calculate bitterness, but beyond that I know there is more to a hop than just its IBU potential. I want to know which hops taste like what (example: I have heard Cascade is citrusy/grapefruity), and which ones work well together.
Anybody know where to look for this info?
Thanks!
