Today My wife and I bottle my 1st batch of beer. 2 Days ago I took an gravity reading and today i took another reading, and they were the same. So, I assume the fermentation is done. And the reading was in the range that the kit I used said it should be. I also ended up with a half bottle...should I just toss that one back(is it going to carbonate properly with all that space?).

IMO the half bottle won't carbonate properly. Take a sip. If you feel better after taking a sip than before, then drink it. Otherwise, dump it.

Tasted the half bottle, its am American Amber ale. Little bit flat with no carbonation but To me it tasted more like the Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA I bought. Not exactly what I was shooting for but drinkable. Racked my second batch today to a carboy. This one is am English Brown ale extract kit, and boy, I cant till this beer is done. tastes really good right out of the fermenter.
