Stumbled on to a recipe that calls for an 8ml hopshot. I've not used them before. If I'm using it early in the boil for bitterness, does hop variety matter? ie hop extract made from Cascade vs Citra. I'd think whatever hop character would boil off leaving just the bitterness?

It could be anything, but pretty sure it's Warrior, which provides good bittering that is not harsh (low cohumulone), as well as an orange citrus character that might hang on into the final beer, especially if it were added later in the boil.
