I think you will need a larger surface are. The top part of my screen grabs a lot. Also, with this fine if a mesh, it seems it also collects the break material. I get super clean wort with almost no trub. The downside, slow is flow. I have done 12oz of hop pellets and still got almost every last drop.
 
Thanks. My perforated bottom catches a lot of break material...I was just thinking the stainless mesh might be a good secondary filter. I actually tried a pad of material similar to a nylon scrub pad, but thicker...unfortunately it clogged to the point I couldn't drain the wort. I'm doing a couple of 10 gallon batches coming up which obviously compounds the problem, so I hope I can find something that provides a better filtering.
