Does any one use them or have any hopinions on them?
I wouldn't mind getting a stock of hops on and this seems an easy way to do it but I dubious to their effectiveness and quality.
 
I haven't used either. Since they are extracted with liquid CO2 rather than heat, I can only wonder. I could see using hop extract if my bittering was too low, it would be easier than boiling up extra hops and easier to control. Most of my ales are relatively low IBU, intentionally. I've seen the hop oils referred to as beer helper. One of the local suppliers carries it in one oz. bottles with a dropper. I'd rather dryhop.
