Sorry if this has been covered before but I've searched and haven't found a suitable answer yet...

I'm planning a DIPA coming up- 1.054 OG and lots of Citra, Amarillo and Simcoe from 20 min. to 0 min. of boiling time. I want a tropical/ citrus explosion and not a muddled hop presence. Would I be better off adding the hops one variety at a time or blending them?

Example A- 20 min Citra- 10 min Simcoe- 0 min Amarillo (2 ounces each)

or

Example B- 20 min 1/3 blend- 10 min 1/3 blend- 0 min 1/3 blend (2 ounces each)

Any advise is appreciated as hop bursting is a new technique to me. Thanks.

I like to add multiple hops at the same time as well as single hop additions. I kind of mix it up. You can brew it twice and do it both ways and see what you like better.

On a side note, last I checked DIPA and 1.054 og don't go together. Did you mean 1.084? With cal ale I usually get to 8%+ starting with an og of 1.070.
