After a disastrous first brew with leaf hops I have learned my lesson and am looking into using hop bags or a hop spider. My only concern is that I have an electric brew kettle and am worried that the bag will burn or melt if it contacts the heating element. I plan on trying to minimize the possibility of said contact but understand that in a rolling boil I may not be able to completely control this. Do anybody have any experience or tips on using an electric kettle with hop bags?

I haven't started brewing electric yet (working on my eBrewery panel) but it have a stainless hop spider from Stainless Brewing that I think will work just fine... Bit spendy but very useful
