Hop addition at flameout vs dry hopping?

I am doing my second all grain brew on Saturday and the recipe calls for a dry hopping after 2 weeks. It doesn't have an aroma addition during the boil. Can anyone tell me what the difference would be between dry hopping vs just adding the hops at flameout?
