I am still pretty much a virgin at homebrewing. I have only made one other beer a Diablo IPA that is in carbonation right now and I thought I would get crazy and try my hand at a honey amber ale.

My Mr Beer kit came with an Amber ale Extract kit. I recently had an amber ale craft beer at a friends house and I decided why not, the kit was free lets try it. So I made my extract as usual and after the wort cooled and right before I pitched the yeast I added about 10oz of pure honey and about 2tbs of brown sugar. I was trying to figure out the ratio for 2.5 gallons after reviewing a few recipes I felt 10 oz was about right.

Any guesses on how this will turn out? Or any advice?

In my experience, Mr. Beer kits usually make average beer at best albeit still able to get you feeling a little proper after a few glasses ;).

In regards to the honey addition, yeast munch through it as a simple sugar leaving very little, if any, flavor at all and more times than not, it usually leaves the beer's body somewhat thinner than anticipated. If you want to get honey aroma/flavor, best way would be to use honey malt on your next brew.
