I have read heating honey to make mead is not being Practiced anymore. Therefore is buying homogenized pasteurized orange blossom honey a bad idea or will it be ok to make my mead with?

Raw honey. Filtered and nothing else is best. Straight from the beehives if you can get it. Avoid foreign imported honey completely.

There are many honey varieties that aren’t available from the US though. Otherwise yes, raw unfiltered is best.

thank you, I sorta thought this would be the answer. The price for OB had me swaying lol

Look for a store called ocean state job lot, I got Gunter’s honey from them for 3.99/lb, the store in Maine had all types. I got more than a case (12 one pound bottles) worth of orange blossom. It’s not stated as raw or unfiltered, but very good honey.
