Homemade kegerator coupler question

Quick question on connecting my kegco tower to my corny kegs. I'm almost ready to install my Kegco dual-tap tower. Do I need to use one of these coupler D system tap handles or can I just connect via the 3/16" line on to my barbed ball lock disconnects?

Appreciate any advice.

You don't need the coupler with corny kegs, just connect the 3/16" beer line to the beer QD. The coupler is for use with commercial Sankey kegs.
