My father has quite a bit of hops growing in his backyard, its been there for about 7 years now. He doesnt brew, just likes the smell and look of it. I have just recently started brewing and this summer when they are fully grown I will harvest all of it (probably 8 or 9 pounds in total). Trouble is, I don't really know what kind it is and neither does he. Obviously I am going to try it out and freeze the rest, but is there a way to find out what kind it is from the flavour profile? maybe if I do a SMaSH it will make it easier to tell. :rockin:
