Myself and two friends will be judging Pilsners we each brewed at the beginning of March. All Wyermann pils malt and Czech Saaz hops, and a German ale Wyeast yeast. Carbonation was to be by bottle conditioning to prevent force-carb and cold crashing clarity helpers. The goal was to keep the recipes simple and sourced from the same place/batch/bin so the judging would reflect process and brewer skill rather than use of odd ingredients or BJCP Style guidelines.
The beers will be presented to us blind by a third party tomorrow evening. None of us have tasted or smelled our beers since bottling, flat and warm, at the start of April.
The original plan was to take the BJCP scoresheet and repurpose it, but does anyone here have a sheet they use, categories or items to suggest for judgement, or any other input?
TL;DR version: German Pilsner ale SMaSH contest tomorrow, focus on process and brewer skill. Scoresheet recommendations are requested
