Homeade Fruit Extract

Hello,

I'm currently fermenting a Banana Bread Ale. I have yet to sample it. But before bottling, if it doesn't quite have enough banana flavour I am making a banana extract I can add if needed. The extract was made using banana, and vodka. My question is, do I have to boil the extract before adding to the bottling bucket?

The vodka will sterilize the banana. But before you dump it in, you should pull some samples and perform a blending trial with a small amount of your extract, then do the math and figure how much you need for the whole batch to get the flavor you are looking for.
